i completed my first ever 10.4km run!! wahahahaha. feeling damn proud of myself 'cos i'd never think i'm gonna make it. throughout, i almost wanted to give up. sun was rising and hot, and the u-turning point never appears!! grrrrrrr. (mommy and family used to bring me to thenewspaper 10km big walk(s) but i never ever finished walking.)

hehehe.. anyways, i have to confess though - technically, i was half-jogging + walking during the later half of the run. i was damn cui already lor! since the 6km zoo run in feburary, i haven been running that's why. i seriously think i have accomplished something big this year, so far. :D 'cos for those who knew me, i never never liked running.

it's the one who's currently in sand land, he who gets me moving and run run run. hehehe. and he's supposed to join in this run but was posted to (again) the sand land :( hence, my brother gets the chance to go for FREE. so how nice hor. haha..

btw, that's how he looked after his 15km. TOTALLY CUI. LOL!!

i was half-dead (legs aching so badly and head throbbing so hard i don't know why) when i got home and i took a really nice 2hr nap. then at later afternoon, i logged back into my twitter account and i saw this!! and suddenly i feel really happy and it's like..i'm so glad i went, i ran, and i completed. :) simply the best prize i get at end of the run. hee.. :P

for him, i am re-considering stanchart marathon at the end of 2009. hee.. i say re-considering 'cos i was complaining to my brother how tiring it was and i'm not gonna sign up for runs like this again! hahaha.. so, most likely i'll be going for a 10km again, that is if i'm signing up for it. :P i'm not yet a half-marathon material (i will die).

i decided to skip one dosage of the TCM. it's super bitter-ish, and it smells/tastes pukey. somewhat the rashes flares up even more only after i started the TCM. my face is not spared either already - looking red and patchy, and flaking like nobody's business.

WTH!!

i'm losing weight, looking so weirdly-thin. i'm constantly hungry and eating alot, really alot.. and yet..losing weight. i miss being the chubbier-me. abit fat, but happier.

i no longer have the luxury to eat everything i want. NO wheat, rice, shrimps, corn, soy, hazelnut. number one killer is shrimp, following by number two killer - wheat, which exactly means no bread no burger no noodles etc. HOW LIKE THAT?!! ROARRRRRRR!! i still eat my rice though, otherwise i would have fainted dont know how many times already. *sad sigh*

see, i dont go purposely on diet. but i just have to skip those i cant? so my skin conditions dont flare up.

not many would understand how sucky it is to have eczema.

it's really hell. concentration on work is bad. and it affects alot on my sleep as well. i used to be a so anti-coffee person, and now i'm an average 2 cuppa coffee per day addict.

work has been crazy too. the office just moved to the cbd area, the packing moving unpacking part, with hell lots of dust and dirt, just triggers the already-bad skin yet again. oh, and this SUPER HOT WEATHER here?!!?!!!! it's crazy. it feels like it's gonna burn and rip apart my skin anytime. anyway i so dislike the cbd area, it's so depressing. no food after 7pm, no aircon after 6pm. work is never-ending and i'm super stressed out. i've even lost control and broke down at work already. literally. i just couldnt help it.. :(

there's too much things going in my head. feels like it cannot hold anymore pressure. SIGHHHHHH.. past weeks have been just so bad. i'm simply hoping to have a short break, to go away. again, which is not really possible anymore, since i'm so broke already.

SAD.

enough said. too much complain and whines. sigh. i just wish i got more time, for myself and everyone. to also sort of pending pictures since jan09 and probably post some nice ones up soon.

exactly. in fact i'm feeling insomniac these days..i wonder if it's work stress - how ever super tired and drained when i got home, i have difficulty falling asleep. and not to mention, it's particularly hot humid n stuffy, my rashes are visiting again. urghhhh..

i miss rainy days..

jr's currently in bali. he's probably diving down under 20m or deeper right now. i almost could be there holidaying too can. sigh. blame it on the bad clash leave period i had with 3 of my bosses. that's so unlucky!! what can i do..sadded. i badly need a holiday, like out of singapore, seriously.

then again, i hope i'm not working late today..

urghhh.. i wish i could be in bali, like tonight. i miss him.. :(

something to announce..

jr and i are engaged! :)))

today marks the first month of our engagement - since last christmas, and on my 24th birthday. :) earlier that day, he picked me up from home, and surprised me with a bunch of lovely tulips. hee.. at 2, we checked into our 3d2n holiday retreat at The Sentosa, had a divine spa treatment the whole of the afternoon together (feels like a mini-honeymoon already! hehe..), and he planned for me a surprise fusion-delish-dining at The Jewel Box (mount faber - a place that holds special meaning to us). he popped the question after we stood right back at the very exact location - where he used to bring me to right before we got together, and where he confessed his love and all to me..? hee.. *blush*

there may be no super perfect-romantica tactics used, or having the biggest diamond ring to boast about, however, to me, what jr had sincerely planned and given, the date time and venue, is yet the simplest, sweetest, meaningful-est and best-planned proposal that i received, and that's really enough. :)))

how ever can i thank god for sending such a precious gift like him to me? (i'm not follower of by any religion, but i'm still very thankful) hee..

we've then started to flip some wedding magazines, sourced for ideas from all over the internet, and eventually the venue for dinner and such. hee. it's so gonna be such a experience having able to plan for a-once-in-a-lifetime-biggest-event. so, if you're asking when and where..it's still a 'tba' (to be advised). thus, coming up there should be a 2-side-family-meeting for some discussions. oOoo so exciting!! hehehe.. (imagine my mom vs jr's mom, okay, suddenly that sounds scary..) hope till then we'll have some details to share when we got them. hee.

as soon as i finished doing this post, i will go crash into my bed. be a good girl and sleep early. hahahaha..

saturday's spent with the girls, samm janet and jenn. it was ktv-ing, followed by dinner at bt.timah and chilling out at vila bali. whOo. hee. there's a few pics, probably up sometime later..i'm too lazy to upload them now.

sunday's with wx, jas and the bf. lunch at tpy and then badminton, key-objective of the day. hee. it was all good fun playing and sweating out. and then again i pray my rashes won't re-visit because of all those sweat. now, my right arms are all aching and my toes crushed from wearing bad shoes. not another falling-out toe nail i hope! =_="

having said all, the main thing is, i haven't pig enough this weekend so i gotta go sleep early(ier) now!!! :P

hehe. how's everybody?

i've been so busy with my life and work..and hardly any time left for this space here.

the boyfriend was back home sometime back for 20 days break; i have been dealing with my skin problems; been to my company's mini-getaway; BBQed with jr and friends; friends; spent national day with my 阿嬷, aunts uncles and cousins; organized a flea sale; and lastly, cycled at p.Ubin; skated at ecp. :D

about work..it's been very busy, OTing quite abit and eating too much fast food.

weekends without plans means replenishing/catching up on my sleep. sundays are reserved for family and myself. arhh..

about my eczema, i had seen 2 skin specialist in this short span of time, 4 or 5 skin doctors in total, and spent quite abit on that. from dryish red scaly super-wrinkled skin to slightly back to normal skin/state recently. you won't know how scary it looked and how itchy and terrible it felt. strangers stared at my badly inflamed skin in a disgusted way. :( however, i'm glad people around me has been real supportive and concerned for me, even the constant naggings, i know they meant well. so what did all those doctors said? they all claimed it wasn't food allergies, it's caused by stress, weather..and what not. at the NSC, i took a blood test, that showed results that i'm allergic to wheat, rice, soybean, hazelnut, shrimps and corn. wheee. how great. (wheat has the highest allergic content compared to the rest.) non-wheat = rice and soybean. what else can i eat?! URGH. every meal is a dread now - a chore to think what i can eat or what to avoid. well, the skin's better now, but still need lots of moisturizer, though some areas still itch like mad on certain days.

okay. just complaining. as usual, just need to get those off. thank u for reading so far. haha!

• xin's getting married late this year! wheet* jas and me just accompanied her to her bridal shop to try out her evening gown recently. (oh just remembered i still own her something!! hahaha..)
• i'm loving the *video* i received a week ago. each time i play it, it never fail to bring me smiles and tears all together. muaaax*! :)))
• i need to trim my fringe. i want new bangs. i can try to cut myself though, but i may just screw it up.
• i finished a couples of dramas, a few movies on dvd..
• I toyed with the idea of having an iPhone. heee..
• i dislike the new fb layout. but decided to try to navigate with it for awhile more..
• i had used up X number of bottles/brands/tubes of moisturizer. i think i can write reviews on all of them!
• i have a love-hate thing for this rainy weather, but the cooling effects somewhat is doing my skin good.
• i don't know how to wear my contact lenses anymore.
• i miss holiday-ing. seeing friends' travelogue to beautiful places makes me so envious of them!! my next trip with jr in January '09 i hope!! :)
• my agnesB bag very cui already. sadded. but still liking it alot.
• jr thinks my ikea weighing scale is crap, and got me an electronic one. two weeks ago i hit the peak of 52.4kg. now i'm back to the usual weight. LOL!! phew*
• talking bout ikea, i'm thinking of room makeover (previously revamped in 2003). need to trash away old secondary textbooks. yes, they're still in the cupboards. (long story..)

been wanting to do a post up of this. tiramisu i made, specially for jr when he was back home in sg. also as a late birthday 'cake' aka monthsary surprise. heeheehee.

it's my first time ever, making desserts! almost thought it'd fail.

nevertheless, i'm here to share the making-of process and the recipe (kindly provided by a colleague who always bake us yummy cakes)!! :)

method (i): dusting some super generous amount of cocoa powder. hehehe :P

..today, my jr left for u.a.e again.

time has been well spent together, but never is ever enough. heh. the moment i sent him off at the departure gates, the depression soon sank in.

then,
i think i am on an eating binge. i'm constantly craving for something to eat. it's like, jr's away now, some thing's missing, feeling lost, and i need to fill it.. with food? =_= guess what, i had yakun for late tea, baktukteh for dinner and some sinful dessert just a couple of hours after dinner, and then some longan. see, bedtime's just another hour away. so gonna put on the pounds again lor. urghhh~ bad sign. so grumpy me. sigh.

will update again. tomorrow's back to work and i've got more things to get busy with. same as for jr. in that way i hope time passes real quickly.

i miss him sooo much already.

a medication my aunt Loo read on the newspapers and kept urging me to try it, like since people has tried it and proved to have cured the eczema.

so, with mommy's help, she bought the ingredients, which consists of white vinegar, 柏叶 and 皂矾 (can't manage to find the english translation of it). anyway, it looked like the above picture when combined together.

tried it on my skin last night, and HELL IT WAS DAMN STINGY AND PAINFUL CAN!!!! urgh~ it's like rubbing salt on wide area of open wound. right, i've to blame it on my fingers that digs into the skin whenever it screams itchy. ouch. i am so regretful of all those scratching i swear. :( the feeling of the vineger thingy that eats into the skin, that agony, is much like a torture.

now i'm still hesitating. on the second application.
i just want to feel better with better skin when jr comes home..

lunch was dry bak tuk teh at arab street area yesterday! then, we went to a beads accessories store, got some lose chains and cute pendants, and gleefully made our way back to the office.

btw, weather was freaking blardie hot can?!! urghhh!!

i ran into manda. who was on her way to work with her bf. hee..exchanged our hellos and regards, we went separate ways. it's so nice to be always running into her. hee..i say its time all 4 of us meet up. you know who you are! :)))

then, ran into heima while almost near getting back to my office. k. so long, but he still looks the same. nth much to write about..heh~

back in the office, my jr got online, and gave me the good news i've longed so much to hear. he's coming home!!!! yipee yipee yay!!!! hehe..got so happy, and i just can't wait, i've to start countdown already!! :D ..and later evening, i met up with his col to get my stuff from her, and guess what? additional surprise..hee..there was an extra sweet note, all the way from UAE. hehehe. thank you my dear!! muaaahhhh**

i'm sooOOo happy!! felt like a day made so complete with everything that happened. :)

but, the irritating part was, i'm down with bad cough and flu. plus cramps and skin rashes. oh well. combo hits. haha! and i slept my saturday away. how nice.. the heavy headache refused to let me out of my bed. and so now, my late dinner and so kindda awake now.

i was still planning on a skating trip this weekend. but, sigh.. :(

oh, during my 20hrs sleep earlier (i know i is a pig), i dreamt that my jr's back already!! my aunt's car, the right tyre went puntured halfway on the expressway and we stopped over at a petrol kiosk that's super crowded, and accidentally i had a 'free' drink. no i didnt steal k. i also dreamt that, bintan actually has disneyland, wth?! hahahaha..imagine bintan island and disneyland. wad a mismatch. lol. some friends even showed me pictures they took there. totally stunned. hahaha. okay, all are not true k. just dreams..

it's just another weekend. longer weekend with an extra p.holiday tml. definately a bonus for working pple like us? and sometimes when it gets busy, i'd rather prefer if it comes another time and not sometime mid-week and causing you to lose a day's time for work. you know, time (at work) is precious. bah. nonsense talk. i'm bored.

the humid hot weather is killing my almost-recovered skin, again. dry and they itch alot. anything better than moisturizers? oil maybe?! =_=

i'll be having mc'breakie tml with my cols, and their kids! wohOo! mommy will be joining too. i'm so excited. i wanna play with the kids and the babies. squeeze their cheeks and flabby thighs. chase them all around the place. no, i hope i dont make them cry. hehehehe. they are just adorable little things, arent they? i've just gonna charge my cam and bring it out tml. if only my jr could join too..

i'm just plain lazy to blog that often already. but i'll probably update again if i managed to capture some shots of the babies and children tml. hehehehe. till then, i'll be bumming at home, do abit of chores, watch some hk dramas, and eat alot. (i'd like to nap, but it's so freaking hot.)

why does it seems (to me) like it's 5 decades already.

the day i dreaded most, happened just 5 days ago, last friday. it was a very abrupt notice i would say, given that i think dear didn't have time to readily prepare himself for it too..

dear left for ras al-khaimah, united arab emirates, for work. and he probably won't be back, till 2 months or later :(

urghhhhhhhhh~ i'm going to go crazy already. now, everything feels so slow-mo. thinking back, when time passes so quickly during our happy times together.

our long awaited easter weekend! i took a couple of days' leave and flew away with jr to hongkong!

that morning, we woke up at almost 4 in the morning and got ourselves to the airport. geez. i was so excited i dont think i did any proper sleep before that. heehee.

that 4-day trip was marvelous!! okay, let's recap. :P

the morning sun high up there was too glaring. could even feel the heat from within!

the lack of sleep showing on our faces, but the excitement of reaching shopping/eating paradise is somewhat revealing. wahahaha~

dropped our luggages, and hit the streets for our late lunch! oh, forgot to mention, the breakfast served on the plane is yucky. the egg omelet and don't know what, is not abit appetising at all. luckily we had our stomach filled before boarding the plane at the airport. anyway, this porridge place at 西贡街, off nathan road, strongly recommended by emm, is said to have the bestest porridge served with 皮蛋! a must-try, if you're going hk! hee.

their 油条, served with complimentary chinese tea. it was already stiff cold, but!! it was still as tasty k! better than any kind we find here in sg! crunchy and yummmmmy.

皮蛋鱼皮粥!! unique right? hehe..i've never eaten such nice 皮蛋 in my whole life! now i don't think i will eat any of these in sg. neither can i find such quality ones. argh~ sad!

then, over to hk island, we had a good time exploring building, streets and road-side stall before getting to the peak tram. but my stupid shoes were already biting my feet big time by then! >_<

the incline's so steep, i think it's like 45º upwards! against the gravity, you can even feel it while riding up, the body weight all on the bench. in other words, when going down, your back will still face the lower grounds, the direction of the seats won't alternate. cool huh~ hee..

after storming the strong winds out there at the peak, we finally settled for this restaurant for dinner, Bubba Gump. it's interier almost the same ambient as of hog's breath, but they serve mainly prawns in their menu.

flip to this metal 'carplate' sign if we need the waiters. cool huh! otherwise, flip back to 'run forrest run'. and for this, we need not raise our arms to call out to them. interesting right!

our first roller coaster ride. scared the shit out of me. we were only secured by one stupid bar across our laps! imagine everytime it goes down, even if it's not really steep, i could feel my butt being lifted off the seat! geez. it was still fun nevertheless. hahaha..

day 4. urghhhhh~ we checked out of the hotel, and we've got 4 more hours to roam about. that's shamrock hotel. small room we got, but strategic location, easy access to their mtr and shopping places. hehe.

and i should have bought myself a pair too. hahahaha..

overall our damages were pretty much.

jr's loot - the spectacle frame, birkenstock (very cheap too), 4 tees, 1 pair of jeans, semi-formal jacket, and lots of wine and beer.

my loot - the rayban aviator, muji pouch, white school shoes, a ballet shoe (tt cost me a bomb, sigh), agnes b sling bag, esprit skirt, 3 tees, 1 sweater and lotsa facial masks.

all of the above excludes transport and meals. fwah. you imagine how much were our damage. hehe.

ending note, we didnt try their desserts, nor dimsum!! urghhhhh~ and whatever that hans mentioned, the kfc egg-tarts.

on the other hand, it means a valid excuse for us to go hongkong again!! wahahaha. the next time round, i make sure we eat anything and everything there!! even it if means getting fat. roarrrrrrrr!! :P

another sleepless sunday night. switching on my bedside lamp constantly, and checking the time on my mobile.

2am. 3am. 5am.

it's like, you know you have to force yourself to sleep, because there's work the next day, follow by a busy week with probably many OTs? you're tired like hell already, but yet the mind just wouldn't want to shut down for the night.

and i refuse to take my rashes (drowsy) pill, 'cos i know i won't be able to wake up in the morning.

..on a-just-another-saturday, that i can sleep in till really late in the day, and resting in, doing nothing practically. i think i'm worn out working too much hours in office, glaring into the big 23" screen more than 12 hours almost quite every other day. and when i get home late at night, i just can't seem to fall asleep even though i'm feeling dead tired. plus that itchy skin rash, sometimes i don't really get proper rest at all, and having to go to work the following day like a zombie. and it the cycles just repeats. so my best time to sleep soundly will be just friday and saturday nights. sunday will be another sleepless night. work stressss i guess.

and..since we arrived at the indoor stadium too early, we went ice-skating!!

hehe..but i didn't really enjoy as much. i'd prefer the land-skating on wheels. oh, must be the ice-skate shoes that are hell of discomfort, and i feel too slippery with no grip/friction on the ground, i don't feel secure. hahahaha! so lousy hor. speaking of which, i haven't go down to ecp to skate for the longest time already - *hints* heehee.

had our dinner after the 2-hour iceskating, and headed towards the indoor stadium! wohOo~! our long awaited concert, finally is here! always had been dying to go jay's concert, so, this being my first time (and tickets sponsored by jr), i'm very very excited okay. bahahahaha!

it was around 10pm when mom rang my mobile. she told me ahgong collasped, and is admitted to sgh. i was working ot then, rushing off some work that's due the following day. anyway, i rushed to hospital. all my family were already there, all looking worried.

doctor sent ahgong to a ward, saying he needed to be warded to do scans and such.

my ahgong had suffered from stoke, and had since lost alot of weight and appetite. from a built healthy elderly, his size shrunk half. it was sad to see how he had aged and all. he didn't talk much since..and needed wheel chair to move around.

we went into the ward to see him in smaller groups. ahgong looked uneasy with all the tubes sticking into him. after too many times, the nurse had to tie his hands to the bed so he won't pull out the tubes.

at a moment, ahgong stared at me for the longest time..

anyway, it was already 12midnight and some of us decided to leave for home first, and then go back the next day to visit ahgong.

at 2am, my aunt and uncles received a call from the hospital, saying ahgong's condition is unstable. four of them rushed back to the hospital and stayed with ahgong for the night.. one of my aunt watched over ahgong inside the ward, while the rest napped outside at the waiting area..

then at 5+am, ahgong's heartbeat slowly fade away. that was what my aunt told us. ahgong's heartbeat was unconsistant during the whole night. and near dawn, ahgong left peacefully.

how sudden, a loved one taken away from us. ahma cried bitterly, and it was so heart-breaking i swear..

it has already been a whole month from then. we move on, don't we..but memories of ahgong and us, will always stay with us..

2008 new year countdown

wow! happy new year to all!
how did all your celebration go? sure is good i bet. hee..

we had this simple countdown at janet's place, which we also have been planning for a chillout there since months ago. hee..just look at the spread!! janet's bf, king, specially whipped up for us. haha..so nice of him hor..and he taught us a sausage/vege/prawn/whatever-you-want-to-put-in wrap. it's filling okay..haha..plus a tomyam spaghetti he invented. lucky janet. haha!

and we played indian poker with the leftover food. eeek. as usual, too many crabsticks and spaghetti left. with chilli sauces and mustard, well, you can easily imagine the mix for the losers. hahaha!! poor host and her lil sis has it most. i tried a couple of times, doesn't taste that bad though, just hope you won't get a bad stomachache. hehe..

just before countdown, we rushed out of her house and set up the sparkles dear and i bought at bintan which we've yet to use. hee..plus janet's party poppers, we had a whole lot of fun like crazy bunch of kids. it's really nice, to chill and gather with a bunch of close friends, eat, drink and laugh. girls, let's do a steamboat dinner soon okay? hehe.. :D

3days and 2 nights of our mini getaway..to somewhere abit further out of singapore this time round, bintan island. to me it's like another post-birthday celebration. hehehehe! now, let the pictures do the story..there's too much to show already! :)

[day 1/3]

early morning on the 26th, we arrived at the ferry terminal. just in time to do our breakfast.

just look at that check-in queue! btw we saw this absolute disco and 100. pretty stuff! of course, dear wouldn't miss such a chance to grab them on our way home the very last day. hee..

us, in the ferry, on a hour's ride to bintan island.

yohOo!! we've arrived!! wahahaha..damn excited..

while waiting for other people to board the transfer bus..

..and once we got on the bus, we started to get spastic. very so. haha! anyways, we got a room number 1111. cool huh..hee..

dropped our stuffs into the room, armed with our cameras, we did a simple recce around the place..

it's super duper windy can. sunny not, with abit of clouds over our heads. we had a fun time jumping like crazy and photo-taking. hahaha..

our havaianas. beach's best friend. oh, we swam in their swimming pool too, and had lunch/snacks by the pool bar, where you can sit on the stone stools and they will serve you food and drinks over the bar counter. how cool! too bad no pictures for this.

jr's werks. hehe..

we then had our dinner at Nelayan Grill. i finally had crabs after like n years!! i'm so touched!! *sobs* haha..the garlic rice was btw, WOW. topping up the evening with white wine, it's so perfect. sweet.

[day 2/3]

breakfast buffet at Kopi-O Cafe. they serves like everything! yeap, like xinz said, this breakfast is too good to be missed. yum*

after having our fill, we headed to the recreation centre, for our AVT (All-Terrain Vehicle) ride. and because the group before us started off late, and maybe riding at like 15km/h, we had to wait one and a half hour for them, before we can hit the road. so we cam-whore with anything we saw, till we got really bored. tsk.

finally the staff there got impatient as well, and offered us to rent the dune buggy at almost half-price. haha! dune buggy is like AVT, just that one get to drive, and the other just sit and relax. not too bad – jr can drive, i can take pictures. hee.

one hour journey into the forest, tall grasses, sandy area, to a place overlooking the beach. wOOo~ we stopped for a breather and for photo-taking, before looping back to the resort. oh btw that's a singaporean family that's with us during the ride. hehe. very nice family.

then, i decided to give it a try. i will drive the buggy. (psst, there were videos la, but due to embarrassment, i shan't load them up. haha..) it's all because, not even 2 minutes of driving, i clashed into a tree. LOL. how stupid right..cannot drive still want to act clever. sadded. haha..thankfully jr's not injured, and i got some cuts on my ankle. =_= i should have just let my dear drive and i'll just sit tight beside him. it's even fun and safer just to relax and not drive. hahaha..

after we had our shower back in our room, we went to Pasir Oleh Oleh, a little town outside the resort, for spa retreat. (^-^)b

then, more crabs for dinner at a restaurant inside the little town. hehehe..

back to the resort room after dinner, while i was showering, dear set up the room's corner and gave me a sweet surprise. very romantic. hee..he secretly brought wine, glasses, rose petals and block candles all the way and i had no clue at all. hehe..thank you dear. muah*

[day 3/3]

after breakfast, we hit the beach for one last time before packing up for home. okay, i know i'm so fat, and even fatter now..haha..urghh~ the sun always shine when we are about to leave. always. same as the last time we were in sentosa. bah. (p/s: drooled over the little mixed-blood babyboy. hahaha. oopsy!)

checking out. urgh~ that wasn't enough. we then went on to check out the club car (buggy) rental timing after we left our luggages with the resort staffs, since we still are 3 hours early for the transfer bus to the ferry terminal.

yay!! finally i can drive a decent 'motor-mini-car' on roads, not on some stupid bumpy full of branches and twigs place. haha..okay, morale's back. need to take up a real car lisense back here soon. :P

15 more minutes before we handed back the car to the resort, we stopped by the beach and did our ultimate spastic cam-whoring. hehehe..so fun~

finally, on the ferry back home, and not having enough of our spastic acts. not quite yet. haha..

3 days of fun, enjoyment and relaxation, simple and short yet sweet. looking forward to our next overseas trip! whee~ :)))

on this special day, dear brought me to a fine restaurant for our little christmas dinner at keong saik road. we did that little dating procedure - taking the train and getting there by foot. teeheehee..

so, there was this (secret)plan/surprise for me, but was accidentally leaked to me by the cutest bf of mine..*giggles* nevertheless, everything still went according as planned.

here goes.. :)

in the morning, jr came to pick me up for breakfast..and tadahhh!! he presented me with a bouquet of flowers!! hee..okay, this was definately a sweet surprise - i never have thought he'd buy me flowers. hehe.. *blush*

such pretty ones, don't u agree? hee..after breakfast at Hans, we headed for work. and yes, i'm working on the eve..been very much busy at work due to the crowd.

in the midst of wrapping presents and busy busying, there he came with the cake, from behind the store. hehehe.. before that, wx and co. has already hid the cake somewhere in the shop and i had no idea at all. that somewhere was actually the glass showcase outside and i didnt notice it totally when i walked past. hahaha..best*

work resumed after the celebration, and that's not all! wx and co. has to make me work hard for 'treasure-hunting' my presents! hahaha..*gosh* and with no clue at all.

there's this present from wx and jas. and 5 x 20dollars tangs vouchers from boss n co. my my..haha..i practically took the whole day to find can, ransacked everything upside down, dug out all possible places, and almost giving up hope near to the end. just imagine the things we have in the store..how to find?!?!

oh why didnt i thought of this idea in hiding wx's present the last time round? hmmpf..haha..but i admit i had alot of fun in doing this '躲猫猫'. hee..

after work, jr and i rushed down to town for ktv with his frens! :)

to the countdown to christmas, fwah, i had to say, this crazy bunch of people were insane. hahaha..suddenly there's the foam spray and 4 to be exact! imagine the small room and that gas smell, omg! few were fast enough to escape the foam room. and the rest were spraying it like spraying the pesticide on cockroaches. that crazy lor. haha..i almost got chocked to death for breathing in too much whatever-gas-it-is. not a good feeling at all..and to end it all, we were scolded by the ktv management. haha..by then, we had used up all 4 cans of spray already, leaving the room poisonous, sticky and all foods n drinks wasted.. :P

and so we met up, just 3 of us girls, at last. hahaha..mitch has been busy with school and work, and qi as usual, busy with exams and never ending school assignments. it was almost difficult for us to find time and meet up, especially clashing with my current odd working hours. (not to even say, this is the peak period. busy busy busy!!) we booked our date almost 2 weeks in advance can..

we had a superb time together lunching, gossiping, laughing, shopping, drinking bubble tea, sharing a waffle, blah blah.. to think of it, i can't really recall when we last hang out together fun and ever, like this. hee..so, actually i'm supposed to do my xmas shopping, and in the end, all 3 of us ended up with our own shopping loot. wahahaha! GIRLS.

oh! mitch got me a cute cat keychain from krabi, and she got qi a pretty wristlet. now the brown cat is hanging happily with my camera strap. hee. loving it so!! from now on, i'll always think of you when i use my camera. haha..thanks babe!! :)

water's edge x'mas party!

there were lotsa food, and i mean real lot!! haha..it was meant to be bbq, with big tiger prawns, sauages, mutton, chicken wings, salad, special "ah-loo" fried rice and so many more la! but due to the rainy weather, all of us just relaxed indoor, and all food pan-fried and oven-cooked instead. hehe. it all still taste as good anyways!! yummm!! and since there's (many) good food, how can my jr miss out? haha..and i got him to go along with me too. heee~

(2007's party was held at loo's place..and due to last year's renovation works, there weren't any proper celebration.)

in case you haven't heard of, i'll be joining 'em back coming 2008. hee..mixed feelings in fact. i'm feeling a little worried and yet excited at the same time. i just hope i can catch up fast once again.

i can't stand this cold weather. the chills that hit right to the bones.. -_-

it's sunny, and next it rains again. best part is, my skin conditions are getting bad. real bad. red, spottish, swollen, dry and itchy. all the worst has come. and i don't think the medicine is effective either, besides the night rashes pill that never fails to keep me drowsy even till day 2, rashes are still as itchy.

i can never go the the beach again *tucks bikini into the corner in my closet* :(

it's a 'blessing in disguise'

we met with a small mishap on saturday, when we were on our way home. the bumper's dented and door sensors got abit cranky. :(

so jr sent his car to the workshop around woodlands this morning, and we met for breakfast.

bonus? we had our first mrt train ride together. ever so exciting, feels like going on the first date. hahaha..

oh c'mon, stop dreaming. he's heading home while i'm going work. *pouts*

hmm..let's do the train ride for dating one fine day, shall we dear? hee..we'll meet at some control station in town, go watch movie, shop around, do all the pat-tor things, and then at night you'll accompany me back home by train.

the 3011 birthday girl:

jas & i specially prepared for a simple surprise for xinz just two days before her actual birthday! partly is also because she will be on her birthday leave. it was quite a busy afternoon getting everyone in sync, and i'm glad the plan was a success! hehehe..and i bet she was so so surprised and touched.

got jas & i who got her the favourite knitted cardigan from MNG (which she 'pleaded' us to get her during some shopping trips.. hehe..)

granny's already 78. everyone celebrated her birthday at my aunt's place, had some really nice buffet spread from Mum's Kitchen, sang the birthday song, played Nintendo Wii (my first time getting my hands on it and i'm totally loving it!! hahaha..it's damn fun and good for de-stress..) and lots of cam-whoring. tehehe..

this cat..came into my house in the middle of the night. it didn't came in from the main door, instead, from 'some' window. weird i would say. i live at the 12th storey okay.

there's rumours going around my neighbours', that it would go round people's house visiting in the wee hours. =_=

it didn't pee or poo. or stole food. there were no fishes or rats.

it gave me a hell of a shock, when i went out of my room to grab a glass of water last night. it just sprint past me at a high speed, as i screamed at it. i wonder how many times it has been doing it..and escaping in a mere 2 seconds?!

work's still as busy. new place and many things to do up.
i have alot of design related things to complete..
coming October we will be operating from 10am to 10pm, by demands of the management. oh dreaddd..
on the brighter note, wx and me will be doing the shift so most of the days we will actually work lesser hours..
and that means, more personal time! :)

right after work, news came that my WahGong (外公) has passed away. many missed calls from mom and cousin, and little did i expect something like this to happen. not that i'm very prepared at all. none of my family were.. :'(

13sept_thursday to 16thsept_sunday
at near midnight, i rushed down to my WahGong's place, i saw him lying on the bed, fragile and pale. forehead, nose and fingers turned purple. the whole family was shattered. everyone broken. he was still healthy having recovered from a stroke last year. still energetic and very chatty. nothing that all of us thought would have happen..life is indeed so fragile..sigh.

it breaks my heart, when i saw the stack of chinese calligraphy WahGong wrote in the past. that was probably the only thing we have in common. and that's calligraphy. i stopped practicing since i left secondary school, but WahGong never stopped. now it reminds me alot about him. something he loved to discuss with me about, whenever we met.

and yesterday, WahGong was sent to cremate. the moment i most afraid of. everyone hated to see him leave..i missed him so much..and finally he left us, leaving in peace..i hope he find WaiPor (外婆)..i hope he is happy out there..

外公 was 86..and probably, his time was up..

I really miss him.

memories are still fresh in my head, the very last time WahGong dropped a visit to my place, chatted with mom and me..memories of WahGong calling to look for mom, and always mistook my voice for my brother's..

is WahGong really gone..? :(

• international buffet-style breakfast at 10am *slurps*
• went back to room and i slept like a pig. hehe.
• rained in the noon. i was still sleeping. and poor jr waited :P

• took caterpillar (sentosa express) to vivo for our late lunch
• fish reflexology at 5pm *cool!!*
• underwaterworld! new stuffs they have!
• dinner at trapizza, had a super filling one!
• bubble bath! not that fun when it's alone. haha!

jr at his first try. hehe..basically, these Turkish spa fishes will swim over, nibble and consume the dead skin areas.

super ticklish la! hahaha..but later on, it was quite enjoyable. comes with foot massage! *ahhh*

some cute fish, i forgot its name. it will 'chop' its own hole, and 'sneaks' out at times to check out other neighbour. it is as long as 10cm, as i remembered seeing. maybe longer? and it never leaves its hole. hee. i dont remember there's such cute thing when i went some 3 years back.

oh! there's this new stingray feeding area too. bbq heung-he!! *slurpss* muahahahaha..okay that's not our food. i mean they are for us to feed. no. we feed them. then we eat them. LOL!! aiyo. scary monster katt. hohoho!! :D

yeah. that's my damage of 185 bucks for this black tote bag. lovin' it!! wohOo~ so far the most expensive i had got for a bag. but for something like its design and brand, i think it's really worth it. hee..best thing is, it's big enough to junk in my lappy, and all my barangs barangs. :)

oh, and wx got another one at 345, but it's really pretty! absolutely suits her and worth every penny splurged. think she will upload the picture of her bag soon. check her out.

watched the fireworks display from shenton way area with jr. it was hell of a traffic jam, having us to rush over as soon as i knock off from work! good thing we managed to see some real pretty fireworks though we were a little late. hee. a pity we didn't get the tickets to view it from the floating platform area. photos will be up if i'm not lazy, probably sometime later.

i met up with samm, jenn and janet for steamboat at upper thomson, with the cold rainy weather outside, we all were given the reason to eat more and stayed in for almost 3 hours. fwah. hahaha..oh, we are planning a girls night's out at janet's hopefully soon. till then!

night skating with jr at ecp. half the round covered, and stupid ankles hurt abit. i think i stood too much at work. anyways, just as i thought how could i be that blur, to bring home scotchtape from the shop, it turned out to be wx who played a prank on me. hahahaha..sickening girl.

just came home from supper with wx, boss and co at hog's breadth cafe, vivocity. damn full from the nachos calamari and what not. plus the day's intake of food n junk..geez. hello to fat girl. hello back. hahaha.. =_="

also been busy at work, and coming up i can't say for sure, but it will definitely take up more of our energy with all those packing and shifting. yes we are moving in another few week's time. so catch us in our new playground from october onwards!

last saturday - there's this sudden urge to snap off my hair. decided to go back to elaine's salon eventually, and always as nice to see those familiar faces there. hee. not that much of a drastic change, just a mid-length now.
they were thinking a bob hair will look just as fine on me. my worries? my fat round face. bahahaha!! maybe the next time!! a step at a time. :)

i am glad i had treated my toenails (now they look rather naked and ugly), i ironed all my clothes, and i completed all the good work i am supposed to do. up next, i should be meeting friends i have been missing lately. oh, i heard my ah-loo (aunt) just gave birth around 2 to 3 weeks ago. it's time to pay her a visit and meet her new baby! hee..

why. 24 hours a day is just not enough! =_=

too many things to get done, and too little time. had a little and too much drowsy tablets for my rashes, and slept alot as a result.

baby called me at 6plus this morning, imaging i'm still deep asleep in dreamlands. hahaha. i'm supposed to be early today for the doctor's. and i slept till almost 7. i dreamt that he came to fetch me, to the clinic, just before going to work, and he was so deadly late. hahaha. it was so real..

so i reached Maple Clinic, at Tampines, around 8.35am. queue no.11 and that's not too bad, considering the first time i went, i reached at 8.15am, i'm at queue no.33. hahaha..really cannot go on weekends. can die. so, not too bad today - 3hrs wait. reminds me of the donut queue at raffles city. haha! clinic's one better though, 'cos i can still make my way to the coffeeshop for breakfast, read something and bum around; rather than standing at same position for 3hrs for the stupid donuts. heh.

the number finally flashes on the digital board and i went in. consultation lasted about 15-20 minutes. DrOng was really nice. telling me all sorts of things to look out for, my rashes and stuff. lots of discipline needed. and moisturizers too. heehee. also asked for pills for menstrual cramps, sunblock for face and lotions for my dying toenails. oh, they are really in bad conditions, and i have to action before all the 3 nails disappear. hope they recover. meanwhile, goodbye to pedicured nails.. :(

fyi, this DrOng at Maple Clinic is really good. that explains why the waiting time is very long. and so many people are willing to queue outside the clinic as early as 7am ( ? ) for consultation and wait as long as the whole morning for it. FWAH. i'm so sure they are earning big bucks. just imagine every patients spent like 100+ at every visit. hmmmm..
(imagine i have so many friends that recommended me this clinic and i have no idea why i have been procrastinating..haha.)

that's it. may i see good skin soon. scold me if i scratch. hit me if i continue scratching. hahaha..

gonna go take a short nap. the sun out there's making me dizzy when i already is lack of sleep. with bloated tummy too. not good.

seeing baby in awhile, will be watching Jay Chou's 'Secret' in town tonight. whee~*

not that i am expecting myself to be sitting here and blogging an entry. my head is spinning, and my eyes are too tired to open.

i just had a good bathe 15 minutes ago. i have to scrub myself like i haven't exfoliate for months. and on the rashes skin? not fantastic at all. PUI! i think all the rash are going to gush out on full force soon. okay, that's not the point here.

this bloody cockroach treated me as its playground? *curse* i was sleeping so well when i felt something like tinkling and poking on my skin.

in the dark, all i could remember myself doing was, grab that stupid thing away of my left arm. fling it away to the floor, i knew it has to be a cockroach.

i felt so like crying :'(

just earlier in the night, my brother just killed one cockroach outside our rooms. then another one now. anyway, it hid into the corner where i kept my hairdryer. my fear is, there's a third one.

i couldn't get back to sleep anymore.

it probably hid in some safe place. i can't do anything if i don't see it dead. then i knew i had to do this. i have to try. using the ultimate hot hairdryer my hand could lay on, i combed the entire corner, and it was really there. i scorched it to death. new method i discovered. i is evil. but it pisses me off.

and it stinks. stinks like shit. my arms stink. my hand stinks. i wonder where else it has crawled earlier on. i cannot imagine. tskkk~

my head is still spinning. and eyes are closing. but my hair still wet and i'm too scared to move. :(

yes. my rashes are falling in back again. dry wrinked red spottish itchy ugly.

bad fingers. i had to chop my fingernails short. i have a date with mitch to the doctor's, coming wednesday morning. i hope i get tonnes of anti-itch bathing oils and a dozen of its moisturizers too. i'm on it's second tube already. got better initially, but now every inch of it decided to come back again. so bad i cant sleep well. and the pill i had last night, caused my giddy spells way to now.

not to even mention it's ugly surface, you won't wanna see. :(

anyway, the ndp (family) preview yesterday was...disappointing. i'm happy that i made it with mom, aunt and jr. but there wasn't any fireworks or too many visual effects on it's 100%. how sad. the performers were not in their costumes too. anyway i have got some snapshots to share, probably upload sometime when i'm in better state.

meanwhile, i think i have to sleep more. nitey nites.

it all happened, 8pm today at NUS cultural centre. dear was sweet to drive me there all the way to the place. hee. thanks dear!

the cd i'm playing on my hi-fi right now, and looping the whole album. nice. songs that trigger my thoughts, and touched me. lyrics that made me sink deeper with the wonder of her voice.

just love her music very much!! nothing beats than hearing her live, i tell ya, esp songs like Fly Away, and Everything In It's Time. simply the best! :)

i've been down with real bad skin rash lately. been around 2 weeks already. and finally now i see my skin recovering.

it's so bad that, it gets
1// super dry, looking like skin of a 80-year-old
2// itchy
3// red and spotty
4// swollen
5// yellowish pus
6// all over my arms n legs

doctor says i have got bad skin, too bad. :( it must have been this warm and humid weather. or rather, i think the dust from the indoor construction site here contributed quite a bit to my skin problem. so far the worst rash i have got.

i'm even told to grease (moisturize) my skin even more than ever. it gets damn greasy la. hahaha..and i'm leaving all sorts or oily fingerprints and palm prints everywhere! hohoho..

and some recollections from the week,

1// last saturday, consulted the skin doctor. jr is sweet enough to come all the way to my house to pick me up at before daybreak, even though i insisted it's so out of the way and troublesome. and he waited with me for 4 hours to see the doctor. no complains. :)))
2// last saturday, watched Transformers. fwah!! bestest movie!! hee..
3// friday, woke up by the early morning call from vinz. what a surprise. haha..and so i met him for breakfast at ikea before work. i'll see you soon again ya? :)
4// yesterday, caught Die Hard 4. another good movie with nice plot. hee..fight from the beginning till the end, just like Transformers. i like~! hahahaha..and then late-night skating at ecp with jr. wohoo! hee. but the suppers isn't doing good for me i think. fats piling up again. haha!

i'm looking forward to coming sunday's Harry Potter! it's been some time that i am watching this much of movies at almost weekly. heavenly! :)

the last time i ever sat in a fast moving car was when i made the trip to tioman late last year, on the journey to malaysia mersing. long winding roads, single lane. yeap. it was ultra dangerous, to confess, i was freaked out.

i'm so glad i made it home after the trip. hahaha!

well.

just today, i flagged for this cab around selegie area for home. and hell was the driver fast and furious! omg. literally he changes his gear as if racing like initialD. that goes, va va-roooooom..roooom!! LOL. serious! never once in my life i'd seen such a dare-devil taxi driver. he changed lanes on the expressway like a piece of cake, (note:) at speed 140. i think he's average was 120. picking-up speed was nonetheless slow at all.

i held on to my seat. thinking, what will really happen if i don't make it home this time. hahaha. i don't want to die, yet.

weirdly, the other side of me is enjoying the speed. haha..i'm taken back by my own for the way i'm loving it. i feel, thrilled! 'shiok' is the word. LOL.

(tonight i got a text from vinz, he's at brunai and is coming home next week. i miss him. wish he is doing okay over there..see you soon dude!)

on a sunshine-after-the-rain tuesday.

i don't feel like stepping out of the house at all. the weather makes me all so lazy. i have people kept telling me to go out and not waste the offday. somehow i think staying at home, bumming around doing nothing can also be a enjoyable thing. haha.

i'm supposed to get down to a dental clinic. or see a skin doctor at tampines. haiyo. very lazy can. maybe the skin thing can wait. i think i shall get changed and see which nearby clinic is available for today. i asked for it, having not to take good care of my teeth after wearing the @&%$#!#@^&* braces. now all coffee-stained and yellowish. and hideous too. yuck. i probably have to do another round of braces to set my bunny front teeth inward. sighh!!

as usual, there's this friendly security guard, or rather, 'our-personal-security-guard' (hehehe..) who always drops by once in a while to chit chat. okay, let's call him "B" :)

today, there's this little girl, "G". she made such a remark that left both "B" and me very disturbed.

B: (..jokingly telling girl not to get too itchy-fingers with stuffs and be careful with them)

the mayday beach trip!!

about the trip yesterday to the beach, it left me with aching body and sunburnt back. hahaha..nevertheless, the fun in the sun, i thought, was the best of all times!! :D

the early afternoon rain didn't make us change our mind in going to the beach at all. haha..and it's such a rare day that 4 of us could make it together, especially on a weekday. of course, it would be better if the rest of the gang were available too. gy tried in vain though, to convince us that it would be a rainy day through out, and so we ignored him. lol.

oh! the new monorail train that connects vivocity to the beach, i must say it's so damn convenient! no more waiting for the bus at habourfront interchange, and then switching to the mini-bus. getting in and out of sentosa becomes so easy and fast!
